We also have wood-look tiles in the hallway, kitchen, and living room. We insisted with the tiler on using matching grout for our dark brown living room tiles. This further enhances the wood effect.

Hallway: Kaleseramik Forest Pappel
Kitchen: Kaleseramik Forest Kastanie
Living room: Kermos Woodstyle wenge

You are actually much further ahead than we are. Last week, the drywall was completed. So far, the interior plaster and the roof overhang (sealing between individual boards of the casing and touch-up of the final coat) have been corrected. Our experts haven’t had much to do yet, our site manager was always on-site and had already put pressure on the craftsmen. I hope it stays that way.

The wood-look tiles we liked were also close to 70 €/sqm. Installation plus surcharge would have been added. Unfortunately, I can no longer name the brand. It was something Italian. I like tiles in the bathroom, the utility room, and the hallway because I find them practical there. We have an open kitchen-living area. If a pot or something else heavy should fall to the ground, it could end badly for such an expensive tile. A broken or cracked tile is simply annoying. ops: Therefore, I prevailed in the kitchen-living area. We are now installing vinyl with a wood look. I am curious how this floor will hold up.

Laminate had also proven itself in the kitchen (tiles not, see above).

They seem to be trending right now ... I just offered it as well; €120.00 surcharge/sqm for Italian wood-look tiles. The whole thing is quite expensive also because only the end pieces of the tiles can be used for baseboards; the rest is "waste" Rheinische Grüße

Hello,
we thought about it for a long time, but with our dog and parquet, we didn’t want that after all.
So we will completely equip our ground floor area with wood-look tiles.
Next week we will choose the tiles.
Best regards

We also have some throughout the entire ground floor, 65 e/m2, plus installation.
It was the right decision.
What we did, however, was to make the joint width as narrow as possible contrary to the DIN standard. The tile is 100x12 cm, a wide joint would look awkward.
