Floor surface temperature in winter about 24 degrees (the room too and yes it's too much but for my wife 24 degrees is still too little!) We are barefoot walkers and our tiles feel warm to us! I believe this varies from person to person! I have only about 18 degrees surface temperature in the utility room and that is cold.

There are different natural stones for wood design. Starting from petrified wood, quartzite, brown sintered stones (Onyx) to limestones, travertines, and sandstones. The natural stones are available in large formats. Primarily used in the exclusive sector. Level-access shower trays made from a single piece meet the highest quality standards. Bathtubs and basins made from the same material are also possible. Floor coverings, walls, and bathtubs can be heated if required. With today's possibilities of different heating systems and controls, this is achievable within an acceptable cost framework. Especially bathrooms and showers should be easy to clean. Therefore, I recommend keeping the proportion of mineral joints as low as possible.
The manufacture and installation of Terrazzo shower trays should only be carried out by truly skilled specialist companies in this field. With Terrazzo, cracking can occur. (Microcracks are allowed to a certain extent).

But at a price of 800-1000 euros for a terrazzo shower tray (and that was the small children's bathroom - with over 2m length in our case, the costs would have been much higher) we decided to forgo this exclusive item. Stylish, but already expensive...

Terrazzo has always been costly. With natural stone, the execution method is very important. One of the most affordable functional options is a natural stone slab laid with a slope towards a drainage channel, with side-mounted upstands glued on as a transition to the wall coverings and the shower door. You will be amazed at how affordable this can be. Pay attention to proper floor construction.

Sounds strange to me. Stone that feels like stone and looks like wood

That should be a common occurrence for you as a car mechanic. Dashboards that look like leather but are still made of plastic. You simply combine the appearance of one material with the advantages of another material.
