The tiles (2nd picture) are nice (which ones are they? Price?).

For the grout, I think I would have chosen a slightly darker/browner color..

These are the "Woodline Roble" 15x90 tiles from Princess Ceramic. In terms of price, they were relatively inexpensive (compared to others) at about 30 euros/sqm. However, I'm not sure if Princess Ceramic might possibly be a private label of Fliesen-Zentrum.

PS: I just noticed in the picture above that the first tile might also be Princess Ceramic Woodline (I got that information from an offer dated 04/2014). Before I make a mistake here, I will check the invoice again tonight (the purchase was around 10/2014) – so you don’t order the wrong tile.

As for the grout – well: we kneeled with the grout samples next to the laid tiles and placed them side by side. Looking back, it could have been darker. Why we chose this grout material back then, I don’t remember. Either the sample was a bit darker than the actual applied grout, or because the living room would also become darker with darker grout (which I don’t really believe). I don’t know. My wife is responsible for aesthetics – that’s not my issue. Only if it really bothers me, I raise an objection.

In general, we sampled a separate grout material for each tile type. Always either after laying or, if necessary, shortly before laying.

We had talked about the joint width, he wants to keep it as narrow as possible, and we will still clarify the color. Since he wants an on-site appointment as soon as the screed is in, that can still be arranged.

Good thing I checked again. The tile is called Treline Brown from Penarroya-Marazzi. The tile costs 47.60 Euro per sqm including VAT. Calculating the actual price was not that easy. Our general contractor passed on the discount that Fliesen-Zentrum granted him directly to us. By looking closely, I was able to trace it on the invoice (the discount was also noted there).

Funny, I also took a closer look at the box, ours are also the Treline Brown from Marazzi

Then I can well imagine it now. You said that in hindsight you would have preferred slightly darker grout? So a very light brown or rather a beige?

By the way, we paid €42.90 directly to our tiler for the tiles.

Could it be that the series by Marazzi has been discontinued? I can't find anything on the website anymore.
