Hello Miers, hello Musketeer,
a picture is worth a thousand words.
Now you can only imagine different surface treatments.
This stone is very high-quality and is also suitable for wet areas and swimming pools.

You are certainly right. This material is very beautiful. However, so is the price. I just searched for a 1400 x 1100 shower tray in an online shop (first result on Google) (I opened the first offered and changed the dimensions). About 930 euros were then asked. Without wanting to stick my neck out too far – I think our tiled walk-in shower (no shower tray) was by far not that expensive. Especially during construction, it is always a balancing act between feasible and affordable. Some things are "nice to have" if they stay financially within limits. If this is exceeded, most have to weigh what is important to them.

I won’t get a BMW M5 at the price of a Smart, the other way around is feasible. The material I presented is very high quality; the price of 600 €/m² for a 3 cm thick, polished natural stone slab with 3 strips glued on the side approx. 15x20 mm, without packaging, freight, and installation is quite proud. Go to the nearest stonemason around the corner with a somewhat better raw slab stock. Pick out a slab and have them give you the price. I assume about 190-250 €, so about 150 €/m². Comparing a large-format natural stone slab made to measure with ceramic tiles is misleading. If you like the tiles, then do that. You just have to feel comfortable.

No one disputes that either. The question is only who can/wants to afford it considering the options.

Apart from that, somehow in your last posts I had the feeling all the time that you were doing some sort of "self-promotion." Maybe I should have just looked at the profile.

Now, away from the advertising hype, I find something like this quite interesting... my plumbing supplier didn't even come up with the idea to offer me something like this - probably because I showed up with the wrong car. Just as a side note... my shower tray also cost €550 including the support.
