But all of this will only be successful if finally puts their cards on the table instead of always just saying "we don't like it" or "we don't like it anymore." There must be reasons why, and only if these reasons are known can one PLAN MEANINGFULLY further. Otherwise, it’s just producing possible floor plans on the existing slab, wasting everyone’s time and being ineffective. -------- It might be sensible to start a new thread where the first post really includes ALL information: existing slab, site plan of the property, etc. all compiled again. The same goes for room requirements, preferences, dislikes, aversions, etc... preferably each with a brief explanation so that it is understandable. And a link to this thread. (I’m usually not a fan of new threads, but since all the basics should be gathered again in ONE place here, it’s easier if this then stands in post 1 of a thread.)

Yep. I agree. Especially without the floor slab layout including all utilities, it makes no sense.

Unfortunately, the way you participate in this discussion is not very helpful: You were "sent off" with the instruction to urgently find out about the quality of the foundation slab and the planning so far. And what do you do? - You keep beating a dead horse by trying to hold a design competition with the foundation slab. Like a bad joke teller about to be hit, you come with "one more" and present another floor plan proposal with the botched punchline of linking a too-small staircase with the question of whether the hallway is wide enough.

IS THERE A DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE?

The planner of the previous owner of the plot will certainly have planned a whole house for the foundation slab – ironically possibly with a functioning floor plan. The penny, to at least find out about this planning, seems to fall with you only after the opening of the BER airport :-(

Hello 11ant, unfortunately it was not possible for me to find anything at 2:00 a.m. At noon, however, I looked up the composition of the base slab. 30cm reinforced concrete slab, insulated with ring earth conductor. 12.49m x 12.49m. I requested the original planning from the municipality, which will be sent to me. Unfortunately, it is not immediate.
Why should it be a bad joke if I show 2 more proposals for the floor plan? Perhaps you find one good and it makes sense to continue working on the drawing. All KG pipes are connected to the water drainage.

That's already a good start, . And then, as soon as the documents are available, you should make the effort to really open a new thread with all the available information: - desired room program - site plan - one or two views from the architectural design showing the hillside location - old design from the predecessor - first own idea and ideally brief explanations why what is placed where in this first own idea.

You can already start compiling all the information for the thread opening now, temporarily save texts (with the checklist) in a Word file so that you can get started as soon as the plans from the building authority are available.

It is recommended to attach JPGs in the first post as much as possible, and everything that is not so easy to read, simply again as an additional PDF in a second post in the new thread.

And then united brainstorming will come, I am quite sure. It is simply also a special challenge.

If necessary, you can then post further variants you like in posts 3 to x, preferably always with a few words and really one post per variant in the thread ... each with ground floor and upper floor.

Well, if you find it difficult to sit quietly during the waiting time for the "old" drafts. Regarding however, I consider it more efficient if the tinkering of the fellow discussants then starts from the "old" plans, instead of continuing with this ground slab reuse competition. When you have these plans together, I basically agree with the procedure suggestion from kbt09. That means in the first post of the new thread I would include the completed questionnaire and the exact drawing of the ground slab, and in the second post then the floor plans and elevations. It would be helpful to know the as-is quality, i.e. also to have photo documentation of the parts already covered (insulation, pipe routes, drains). Do you know the reason for sale of the previous owner, especially if it was of a structural nature?
