What I like is that the children's rooms are getting bigger that way... but I'll play around some more, more square meters in the bathroom should be possible by moving the children's room door upwards. I still like the option with the separate WC, but I can't manage to get it to work even though I understand what you mean. If you ever have time, we would of course be very happy about a sketch ... I've also finished the downstairs right away. I'll show you that again as well. A nice Saturday evening activity! It's fun!

I can understand that, 14-16sqm for a child's room is the optimal size, but you shouldn't ignore the question from when it comes to drainage.
A wastewater stack pipe is certainly common and standard in the guest WC, but not really appealing in the hallway.
And not only for that reason I always like to give the advice: toilets on top of each other! And now you come with the child's room... with that, all illusions of a clear design are gone :P

Could you please also post the site plan with the house and orientation here? Thanks!

Regards, Yvonne

that was obvious: the painting program is somewhat inconvenient for rotating the sinks in the floor plan by 90°...

... but as already said – simply reaching for the old-fashioned tools pen and paper is no shame. Or has the store with the graph paper already closed? – that might also be a generational question (?), I can reshape a plan variant faster on grid paper than on the PC. Or printing out and then cutting with scissors is also nice, with the whole family, instead of playing Yahtzee or pick-up sticks.

Uh, site plan? – Single-family house on several hectares of Ponderosa, or just related to the 5,000 sqm homestead? – as far as I understand, it’s about a farmstead, so endless distances to the next foreign house corner. Rudi Carrell once said he lived very lonely, 150 kilometers away from the next showmaster

I can already rotate it by 90° there, but didn’t want to because it serves as a reminder for us. It’s probably not feasible there, but oh well, one is allowed to have ideas. And personally, I find it much easier to try out ideas this way than with paper and pen, which we definitely have in the household. We just sit here together and "play around". Maybe it’s not even really a generational, but rather a matter of taste. And I’m not expecting a sketch from anyone. If someone feels like it, sure, otherwise I’m already more than thankful for your very constructive and helpful suggestions!

We’ll revisit the drainage issue again. I’m still too much of a layman to really imagine it. But I will definitely address it and possibly have the bathroom pushed back into the corner, and then tomorrow I might also try to rebuild Yvonne’s suggestion. But I might also gladly leave the implementation to the pros again and I’m certainly not resistant to advice.

Here once again is the "site plan". Since it’s outdoors, there’s no fancier development plan. Also very rough and ready, but I think it might be sufficient to see the essentials? The blue dashed line stays. The rest "goes away". Please don’t start big discussions about this either. This has been a topic here for a long time and has been discussed in every direction. Around it: field, to the south a small stream with trees.

Furthermore, once again the ground floor plan with slightly shifted walls. Regarding the very narrow guest bathroom: We currently live in an old apartment where we only have such a bathroom. It’s sufficient and doesn’t even bother us, the shower is also directly at the window, so we roughly copied it like that. Possibly one can push the wall to the utility room back up a bit and make the bathroom somewhat wider. It was only important for me to enlarge the kitchen a little bit.

... and that's where the technology / heating goes in?

Yep. It is implemented exactly the same way at my in-laws. That’s why we would also like it that way.
