What else bothers you about the wardrobe?

We would put plain white tall cabinets "south" in the wardrobe; framed by the wall on the hallway side, it is not an unpleasant sight. And the jacket/shoe chaos then disappears behind the door. With a nice wardrobe solution, that's no problem, right?! You have this extra half-room, and that makes it much cozier and less chaotic than if everything were directly located in the hallway. (that's how we are planning it too )

Consider whether you might open the front door the other way around, so the access leads directly to the wardrobe and you don't have to walk around the door. That way, you enter "towards" the basement staircase...

Good luck!

The shower and toilet are on the wall upstairs where the children's bed also stands. I assume the layout of the children's rooms is more linear, but still, a note... Friends of my parents have built a duplex with the mother or mother-in-law. The bedroom of one half of the house adjoins the bathroom in the other half of the house. When he showers in the morning before work (early shift), the mother-in-law is standing upright in bed.

Regarding the opening, we also thought about it for a long time, and even though 7° is not optimal for a photovoltaic system, we still did not want to block the possibility of using the sun as an energy source. Since the house is oriented exactly 180° south, the yield would even be quite high.
The roof will be covered with titanium zinc or aluminum in double standing seam technique. It should be mentioned that above the upper floor there is a tax advisor ceiling and the gable wall will also be built with masonry. So it is a ventilated cold roof.

We would have actually preferred a flat roof, but here reason prevailed regarding the continuous roof overhang. We hope this results in a more durable facade. Due to the capacities of the shell construction company, the shell construction will only start in September. Of course, there will be pictures.

Pictures will follow as soon as the facade is completed.

Thank you for the note, which we are aware of. Here, only moving the bed in the children's room helps, as we have no other idea for the bathroom. Because of the corner window and the somewhat smaller width, we are a bit limited.

At the moment, we are facing the choice of which window to order.

We currently have offers for Internorm windows made of plastic/aluminum of the type KF 410 and 320. The windows are offered complete with motorized shading (Beck+Heun boxes, Warema technology) with Venetian blinds on the ground floor and roller shutters on the upper floor. We tend to prefer the 410 due to the 93 mm frame depth compared to the 74 mm. For the 320, I am uncertain regarding the concealed sash. Both types are offered in the Studio design style.

Has anyone faced a similar decision or has experience with the 320? It seems to be technically similar to the 500 or the new 520?!

I don’t see any advantage in the larger frame depth. I would choose the 320 here; the 410 fits less well visually (for that, the house would have had to be classic neobauhaus style, meaning flat roof—without overhang—and no accent areas), here the 410 looks too brutal in contrast. The 320/520 looks great; from the outside the seal is practically already the sash frame. The difference between 520 and 320 is the even more consistent flushness on the inside (only concerning the window/reveal connection, which therefore is only effectively beneficial with wide strips of coupled elements). I don’t know the price (difference) concretely, but that last hundredth of a percent is usually the most expensive in design.
