For us, it was clear at the beginning of the planning that we definitely did not want a children's bathroom. We considered a second shower in the guest WC but then discarded the idea. We are aware that if we ever have two children, arrangements will have to be made, but we were also 5 sometimes 6 including my partner at my parents' place. That worked too. If it really doesn't work at all, the walls in the guest WC are drywall, so you are quite flexible there.

The workshop is already, in my opinion, too big. The niche in the garage is supposed to be used for the bicycles.

The arrangements didn’t work for us, it was always stressful and as soon as someone was in the bathroom, there was knocking on the door, you never had your peace.

Best regards

I need your help again. I have to determine the Halox cans in the filigree ceiling. I have read up on the topic, but I am still unsure.

For me, the wardrobe and hallway are fine as they are. Above the kitchen island, dining table, and coffee table, a pendant light is planned. In the living room, additional indirect lighting is planned via a shadow gap profile. I would also like to use a few surface-mounted spotlights, but I can decide on that at a later time.

Kitchen topic: You often read that the recessed spotlights should be placed at the edge of the row. How does that work with a row facing a block? Is it better to plan 2 rows?

: You already gave a tip. However, I didn't fully understand it. I am grateful for any suggestions here.

I am not a kitchen expert but I would find it too dark on the countertops. Above the kitchen island, I would increase to 2 pendant lights – unless there is a large crossbeam planned with many individual spotlights. For the countertop by the kitchen window, I would consider wall lamps – at least where there is no window. Is the kitchen plan already finalized? Otherwise, I find the spots and lamps sufficient. I would illuminate the staircase more. We have a wall lamp halfway up, which we are very happy with. I must add that I have a visual impairment and my husband also likes it very bright when he walks and works.

Just quickly, I don't think it's fundamentally bad.

For the island, I would rather work with two or three individual pendant lights.

Kitchen, if you do it that way, keep in mind that your body casts shadows on the work surface. Consider separate lighting for the work surface.

Living room, I don't really like spots. It's a matter of taste, I would rather work with wall lights and floor/arc lamps.

Consider the stairs depending on what you plan on the upper floor, they also need light.

That's exactly what's planned. But I think you are not allowed to post links/images here, right? That's why only one ceiling outlet.

We have a kitchen appointment in 2 weeks. Maybe we should plan more precisely once that is confirmed.

The staircase will be illuminated with wall spots and also with a pendant light. That should be sufficient.
