A beam needs supports, and I see problems here.
Some things should be adjusted, including the position of the pantry.
At the latest now, I would have a professional take a look.
Even if you like your upper floor: you do not determine the load-bearing role. MM is much smoother in this regard. This setback also shows that it is simply thought out in an unprofessional way. You are adjusting the rooms with all possible planning freedom.

Also well solved. However, again the pantry is not adjacent to the kitchen. I'm still not sure whether the entrance on the east side will work. Regarding this, I have another meeting scheduled with the architect.

Regarding the terrace, I estimate that material needs to be removed in the north and possibly filled again in the south. The height setting will primarily depend on the garage so that it can be driven in with as little slope or incline as possible. I will definitely keep your suggestion open.

There is also a second draft with a straight staircase; here we like the ground floor better, but it fails on the upper floor. With one of the two designs, we want to go to the architect so that he develops it further and plans it technically correctly.

Below again the sketches for the straight staircase. What do you think, which design should be pursued further?

I don't see that at all. Where is there a projection? Aren't the exterior walls aligned vertically (apart from the terrace and the notched corner on the upper floor)?

As Kaho described, there are 2 points on the entire house that prevent it from being a shoebox. One is the covered patio (function before design) and the corner in the northeast that sets back (design without function). Yes, beams need a support, which would also be present here. On the one hand, the exterior wall and on the other hand the wall at the staircase on the right side of the plan. Whether the wall alone is sufficient here, or a support column needs to be added, will actually be determined by the structural engineer. From now on, a professional should also be involved.

Well, how wide is your sofa? Even with a room depth of 4.20m, there should still be plenty of space, even if the sofa is 0.5m away from the window, there are still 3.70m viewing distance from the TV - that's more than enough, even too far for 4k.

I wouldn’t mention it if I saw a gap there. And this “small gap” occurs when a layperson doesn’t pay attention. Anyway: it is a mistake to present something to the architect here. I would either show you the bird or let you walk into it and take the money. Good luck with that
