Our kitchen window was also raised by a few centimeters because we wanted a working height of 92cm in the kitchen and the countertop extends into the window.

3cm too high and a higher kitchen is not possible. A working height of 92cm was planned, the next possible step would be 6cm higher and for me, a 1.60m dwarf, that is way too high... Don't know either. Waiting for a proposal from the kitchen specialist... But I am totally disappointed... It had been going too well so far...

Couldn't the countertop in the window recess be made "thinner" from below, so to speak? Do you understand what I mean?

A simple option would be niche material, which is not that thick, placed in the window recess. Then there would be a seam. Although seams on laminate countertops are relatively invisible. The only disadvantage would be that, depending on the material, a grain pattern, etc., would not continue seamlessly. Therefore, I would first try to pursue the "thinning method."

EDIT: And why are base height increases only possible in increments of 6 cm?

Thank you kbt09 for your suggestions, something like that was also directly on my mind, but it is not feasible. My husband did not explain it to me quite correctly yesterday. I spoke with the kitchen specialist today and it is about the fact that the parapet is currently at just under 93cm. We, however, have a total of (including the countertop) 91.8cm. That means when the kitchen is installed, the parapet will still protrude above. This suggestion was made by the kitchen specialist.... What do you think about it? Do you have any ideas what else can be done?
