Hello,

Initially, everything is possible; whether it makes sense/economically is a completely different question.

You have to transport water both to the bathroom and away from the bathroom, which means you will have a boxing-in on a wall in the guest room. To keep the noise level associated, for example, with the toilet flush within limits, further soundproofing measures need to be taken. I don’t currently know where your connections will be in the planned house – naturally, the necessary pipes also have to be led to the utility room or HAR.

Cheers

Everything is possible is already great.
Makes sense anyway. It is simply the perfect orientation of the house and that then has to be balanced against the costs (economic efficiency)? The utility room where all the pipes have to go is in the basement on the left. So the longest distance. Oh man, what extra costs are we talking about? Can you estimate that? Are we talking about 2K, 5K, or 10K more or even more?

I just did a quick calculation. It’s a max of 20m more supply and drainage piping? Is there a rough estimate of how much more it could cost? Our heating/plumbing guy is coming on Saturday for a preliminary discussion, he should be able to tell us that too, right? Are more trades affected by this? The walling up is probably done by the structural builder or is it done in drywall construction?

Hello,

You will surely have to calculate €60.00 per meter.

No, that belongs to the drywall trade.

I would definitely get an offer and then weigh it carefully. Even if you have additional costs now, you also gain a lot. More quality of life for the children, who have nice bright rooms. The children also spend a lot of time in their rooms during the day, and due to the south-facing orientation, you will certainly save quite a bit on heating costs in winter and transitional seasons. Almost no one stays in the bedroom during the day, so a north-facing orientation is optimal there.

@Bauexperte: Your comments are really worth their weight in gold!!! Thanks! Then it would be less than 2000 euros. Ok, we could live with that, I think. Do the basic builders actually handle the sewage and water disposal? They do everything here including earthworks up to the roof truss. Or is the sanitation guy already brought in for these tasks? And as far as the drywall is concerned, that’s great. We’ll do that in EL.

@Panama: The advantages are definitely significant. I have already passed this on to the architect. I'm curious when he will get back to us and what he will say about it.
