Opinions on our floor plan are welcome

You mean the collar beams. At lower roof pitches, the roof structure is constructed without collar beams. The roof is called something else, but I don't know the word right now.

So my dears,
we are slowly but surely coming to the end and I think we now have a good floor plan. What do you say?
We have consciously decided to have the living room facing the street and side, and the kitchen facing the garden. It seems more sensible to us to have direct access from the kitchen to the garden rather than from the living room. The path from the living room through the sliding door to the garden is then not far either.
Upstairs we have now mirrored things and put the dormer at the front to get more light into the children's rooms.
The basement will be completely finished, but for that we are foregoing the finishing of the attic. In the children's rooms, the ceilings will not be clad upwards, so you will partially see the roof beams.
The kitchen is already roughly planned and fits in perfectly.
Any other suggestions?

The plans are too small, you can only make out rough details.
