Hello Würfel*
First of all, thank you for your effort and your, in my opinion, nice improvement suggestions.
Regarding the ground floor:
I quite like the ground floor. It seems to me that I need to rethink the door to the garage. I would actually like to keep the staircase open, both for the look and for the space.
For my taste, the three large sliding doors are not necessary. But the windows can still be adjusted according to the needs.
I really like the placement of the fireplace; I have often seen it used as a room divider in pictures but had a hard time implementing it here because I assumed the TV/the couch would be placed in the other direction. But with the change in position, that is a real, nice option.
Regarding the upper floor:
KZ 1 will be extended by half a meter on the right side, as shown in your design. That was also suggested in previous posts. Also, that a 7 sqm office can be sufficient. However, I think I wouldn’t make the window too big there, but just enough so that it fits with the ground floor.
Whether the bathroom of 10.5 sqm is not enough, I have to reconsider. However, in your design, the hallway is exchanged for living space, which in itself is good. In combination with your idea to enlarge the dressing room, it is certainly a good option.
Some good ideas - but here, too, you barely stand 2 meters behind the front door and next to the stairs in the kitchen. I don’t find that very attractive or cozy. With perhaps an 80 cm wide corridor next to the stairs? As a bottleneck to the large open space? That’s not inviting.
I don’t actually have 80 cm, but since it’s only a passage, it is completely acceptable to me. Besides, one of my best friends also built his house in such a way that right after the entrance or about 3 m further back, his kitchen is located. There is no door or anything, just about a 1-meter-wide passage, and you are already in the kitchen/dining area. I don’t find that in the least disturbing or “unattractive or uncozy,” on the contrary. But tastes are known to differ.. By the way, his wife is an architect and designed the house.
Many greetings
Christoph
