How would you then use the intended gallery? I would prefer not to build asymmetrically, meaning then also including the corners in one of the children's rooms.

I also can't imagine it as a storage room, since everything happens out back in the garden.

Installing a small mezzanine where the mini storage space is now would be a compromise.
Honestly, I don't think much of deviating from the straight staircase, as then basically everything would have to be redesigned.

From my point of view, that would be the only sensible thing to do in order to be able to create (or have created) a good floor plan (by a professional).

But not if more than 1/4 of the hallway area is. He can only gain from it. Of course, the insight will no longer be with you, because you defend the design too much and also stand in the way of a good design insofar as you persistently ignore that constructive criticism can only arise if you get background knowledge about the needs of the residents.

Thank you very much for the helpful contribution.

That is not true at all, I have already said that it will come down to making two rooms out of the three on the upper floor and that the gallery can also be omitted.

Yes, it is...... or did we overlook the questionnaire and your description of the construction project?
Understand, it’s about WHO/WHAT/HOW/WHY....... typically German questions according to Gerhard Polt. We are not concerned about the form itself but about understanding your motivations, wishes, and needs regarding the house construction, and that could be derived from a properly filled-out form.
Now tinkering at isolated spots or making some constructive criticism without knowing the why is completely pointless.
As writes, you stubbornly withhold this knowledge, instead adding a new piece of information in every post. Nobody wants to have to gather this information bits and pieces somewhere.
