Does the open space in my new design without the slanted door change the character that much? Am I overlooking something? I actually find the solution with a second passage between the kitchen rows and the boxed-in tall cabinet very nice. Upstairs in the master bedroom, it should work with a higher knee wall and the bed a bit further to the left, or am I misjudging it (one must also say that we are not exactly giants at 165 cm and 175 cm).

If I mirror the stairs, I automatically have to move the front door to the right. A carport is planned docked to the house at the top right (this can also be seen in one of the first pictures, where the outlines of the property are drawn). Our parking spaces must be within the building area, so we cannot simply move the carport further back.

I already thought so. With the shopping bags, you first have to make a detour through the living room. It's moderate, but if it doesn't bother you, well wonderful!

There is an additional passage between the kitchen units, which you walk straight towards from the front door (maybe with a sliding door). This is to avoid having access only through the living room.

But why is this door opening outwards in the storage room upstairs? Does it bother you if the stairs go up between 2 walls? As it is now, a tall and wide cupboard is sufficient or might even be better. Otherwise, put a wall next to the stairs. Then a small utility room could probably be placed upstairs. Very advantageous for the laundry.
