Where are the "large sliding doors" actually slid open to? I only know of such doors recessed into the wall as interior doors, not as exterior doors. Moreover, the door in the living room could be slid open by a maximum of 1 meter, so it would have less opening than a simple double door. Otherwise, 2.4 meters is also not "large" for a sliding door if one half is slid against a fixed glazed part?
I would definitely not rotate the staircase! With that, you can completely forget about your cozy and private living area!
I agree as well, but the rotated solution is recommended here more often (dirt etc.). However, I personally don’t find the idea that visitors of the children always have to go through the private living/dining area so great either.

With a 2m sliding door, you could really consider whether that makes sense.. or whether it’s better to take a double door.?
