He wanted to put the washing machine in the bathroom, he mentioned it a few pages ago.

The bathtub is on the chopping list or is not planned.

I know. I had several arguments against it, but they were ignored. Always just the resale value issue :(

Yes, both are a no-go! But if someone doesn’t want to feel comfortable in their own house, they can also misuse the bathroom as a laundry room. No argument helps if someone has a different perception of living. Then they should just build.

As a confessed bathtub owner, I had joined in there. However, for me it was solely about the one-sidedly illuminated resale topic. Above all, a young family should have a bathtub when building new. Even I, an old guy, am putting one in, but not because of resale, but because I want it for us. I believe that once the floor plan comes from page 65 onwards, he can still be convinced.

Everything has its pros and cons. And I don’t want to convert anyone – everyone should build what they want or have earned and can. But the original posters ask questions here, answers are given in full sentences, and if you’re ignored three times with “I’m not building a tub just for resale,” then you can also save yourself giving serious answers here and rather just mock everything or “stop following up.” By the way, I had actually decided on the latter – somehow he came back to me again  One should actually just respond with “yes, do it, it’s totally great.” Guess how many likes you’d get from the questioner then :p

I wouldn't take it so seriously now. I myself have extensively commented on the bathtub issue and cannot understand building a house without a bathtub. But the absence of a bathtub was set by the OP, there was no question about that from his side. I went back to the beginning of the thread. They are 33 and 41. If they haven't needed a bathtub in the last 10 years, then they must know what they are doing. The OP didn't ask about it and we are giving him advice anyway. Maybe it made him think and the bathtub will actually be included in the floor plan on p. 65, and if not, then that's fine too. Everyone has to build their house the way that feels right for them. I can understand that the OP might be a bit put off now, since he had completely different questions. So get back in touch.
