You don't seriously want to install a stove after 10 years? Be glad that you are spared from having to install an expensive chimney and stove. Unless you happen to own a forest and your idea of leisure is making firewood, it is not financially attractive either. Not to mention the costs for the chimney sweep and the problem that you cannot reasonably combine a sluggish low-temperature underfloor heating system with a stove.

Don't worry, that is well considered. However, I / family have forest with wood. Besides, I rather see it as a cozy feeling / comfort. And yes, I also think that in winter, when it is really cold here in the south and there is snow, it is a sensible supplementary heating. Surely not something that pays off when you add up all the construction costs etc. But sometimes a bit of luxury is just acceptable.

You don't need the stove for heating. Your heating system adjusts automatically to suit, whether it's cold outside or not. But I can guarantee that the heat pump will start cycling as soon as you fire up the stove. Even small stoves quickly overwhelm a modern building envelope with their heat output. With a heating load of 2-3kW for the whole house under most conditions, you can't run the stove small enough to avoid getting 25+ degrees in the living room. You won't miss the stove in 10 years, so you might as well leave out the fireplace. And no, the stove alone won't cover the hundred euros for the chimney sweep, who likes to come twice a winter. We don't even need to start talking about the construction costs.

I understand your arguments and will also take them into account.

Let's return to the original question of whether anyone has experience with the approval from the KFW.

But there are people who want 25 degrees in the living room in the evening. Or at least 23/24 degrees. And exactly for them a fireplace makes sense with a slow-responding underfloor heating system that you simply can’t regulate to have 21 degrees during the day and 24/25 degrees in the evening. And in the transition period, when you actually don’t need heating yet, it’s nice to light the fireplace in the evening to make it a bit warmer and cozier. And the chimney sweep costs between 30 and 60 euros per visit and only comes once a year if you don’t operate the fireplace daily. I can only say that we would greatly miss our fireplace if we didn’t have it.

Where exactly does it say that about the chimney and the possibility of a subsequent installation? At least it’s not in the funding conditions...
