This "what" is so extraordinarily average that it almost seems funny to try to set standards with the "how."

I’d say, no guarantee: 42 (?)

These individual questions are all exemplary cases of aspects that carry emotional undertones. For all of them, there are worldviews, positions, and counterpositions. Always with the feeling in your gut that the explanation with the more understandable arguments doesn’t necessarily mean it is the "right" one.

If you now hope to find an economic maxim in this Babylonian confusion of thoughts that will judge for you and suddenly clear your view so that you see only the one absolute truth with an aha effect: then every oracle can only disappoint you.

(You too) will not manage to build your house from the philosopher’s stones – certainly not the first one (not the second either, but by then you’ll be mellow with age and cope with it).

Welcome to the club.

I find this discussion very interesting. Especially because it is now clearly stated that it is indeed possible to build a house for < 200k.

On the other hand, I don't even think that everyone here believes that a house must always cost over 300k. Rather, I think that people very often talk past each other here. What is standard for one person is shabby for another and luxury for yet another. This difference in "standards" and tastes does not allow for a consistently factual debate. At least not here in the forum.

The fact is, and we have now learned this, you can very well build a house for under 200,000 euros. Of course, those who want KNX, sauna, fireplace, LED stairs, astronaut technology, etc. have to pay. I think these people gladly do so.

But so far, NO ONE has shown me who built a house for less than 1500 EUR (1600..?) per sqm (all-in!) from 2016 onwards. It's all just talk..

The same old story again...
It's completely pointless to talk about partial sums for such a project. "Just the house" – what is that supposed to mean? Is there a house without additional construction costs? No. So please don't ignore that, it distorts the picture. It carries the risk of forgetting costs or not even bringing up that they occur. "Oh, taxes cost money too?!" I was shocked at what some bank advisors reveal during financing talks.

200K€, just the house and certainly no claims. Aha. But it has to be triple-glazed, the glazed roof tiles are also important. And oh yes, the fixtures only standard... Wait, that’s not right, in "nice" standard. Then see what nice things you can find in the standard.

If you build for this amount – that might be possible – then you have neither money for economically nor ecologically sensible options. You build what can be delivered to you at the lowest possible price. So put other thoughts aside and contact GCs asking for minimal equipment and inexpensive house designs.

Hi Steffen,

so, the user HAL06120 wrote:

Why don’t you believe him?

So do you think the user HAL06120 is a liar?
And what do you mean by "all-in"?
