New construction - How to build economically sensibly?

Regarding the question of who we are currently building with: Also a medium-sized company. Specht, Fehmarn. Turnkey without painter and without floor coverings except tiles. Few subs, much done in-house. Except for electrical work, plastering, screed, heating, and plumbing, he does everything himself. Also the architect, he is authorized to submit plans to the building authority. Also the civil engineering. He only builds within a radius of 50 km. ...And...he builds without contracts, only by handshake. smile This is old school. Karsten

We had a medium-sized company with external subcontractors from the immediate vicinity ~ max. 100 km, although MV suggests that the subcontractors may have come from the EU abroad, this was not the case.

They were all German trades, although I have nothing against EU subcontractors if the result is right.
