Just google "Why dead corners are good corners".
Well, it’s just another new trend being pushed around the village again.
It can also be the right decision for some people. But, like with everything in life, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all rule.
Of course, you should know all the options, but doing something just because everyone else does or because it’s currently proclaimed as the savior (forum opinions) rarely makes you happy.
Just see what makes sense for yourself, how you’re used to working, and how you can imagine it.
But actually, this is about Ikea kitchens...
I had one for years, know plenty of colleagues/friends who also have one. There’s nothing wrong with that (at least that’s what I can say about Faktum, I don’t know metod).
Price-wise definitely attractive without long haggling and special-sunday-price (additional assembly costs I don’t accept, an Ikea kitchen can be assembled by a trained monkey with some time).
The only downside, and this has already been mentioned here, is that when it gets a bit more special it often gets tricky with the Ikea selection.
Only because of that and because I found a kitchen builder who gave me a fair price directly, mine didn’t become an Ikea kitchen.
