Just google "Why dead corners are good corners."

I also decided on dead corners. Simply because the corner base cabinets are so large (especially with a lazy Susan). Things like Le might be somewhat better in space utilization, but they are expensive and delicate.

Blind corner + 80 cm base cabinet is also wider than a corner base cabinet. That would then be the combination blind corner + 60 cm base cabinet.

In what way sensitive? Breaks quickly?

For a dead corner, I need 10 cm on each leg side.

It depends. If we're talking about a corner cabinet with 3/4 carousels, the corner cabinet easily extends another 30 cm around the corner.

If you take the ones with pull-outs, you only have 1/2 carousels. And that's even more nonsensical.

Well, it’s just another new trend being pushed around the village again.

It can also be the right decision for some people. But, like with everything in life, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all rule.
Of course, you should know all the options, but doing something just because everyone else does or because it’s currently proclaimed as the savior (forum opinions) rarely makes you happy.
Just see what makes sense for yourself, how you’re used to working, and how you can imagine it.

But actually, this is about Ikea kitchens...
I had one for years, know plenty of colleagues/friends who also have one. There’s nothing wrong with that (at least that’s what I can say about Faktum, I don’t know metod).
Price-wise definitely attractive without long haggling and special-sunday-price (additional assembly costs I don’t accept, an Ikea kitchen can be assembled by a trained monkey with some time).
The only downside, and this has already been mentioned here, is that when it gets a bit more special it often gets tricky with the Ikea selection.
Only because of that and because I found a kitchen builder who gave me a fair price directly, mine didn’t become an Ikea kitchen.

Yes, presumably a LeMans extractor is not very useful. But the lady wants it, so be it.

Back to Ikea:
I have now had time to test the Blum drawer runners.
They can be easily installed even in an Ikea kitchen.

A floor tile had to serve as a simulated countertop
