My mistake, sorry. It was already too late for me. Of course, I meant the garden is in the east.

Maybe you should actually make a list. What is good and what is bad and preferably a weighting (i.e. how important it is to me) included. Just like in the attachment.

If the total in the debit column is too high, I would probably change the architect or get one who really invests his brain. You can still build with the other one – because the choice is limited here anyway.

Hey Yvonne, what do you charge per hour actually? Make an offer!

Well, I have to admit, the plot is really tricky. You have to swallow some toad. I'm not an architect, so I just tinker around. After endless trying, I only come up with a design with 2 children's rooms, which just fits into the building window. Therefore - ashes on my head - the design might not be as bad as I thought. I'll still put up the alternative 2-child variant for brainstorming. I started from the so-called Bauhaus style - there you can almost get away with anything. Whether it can be built at all, I don't even know. (But I have to say that my program is outdated and not everything can be represented. Although I'm usually not a fan of corner windows, it offers itself on this plot to get the sun into the rooms. The program can't do that though. Also, I always leave out windows that are unproblematic out of laziness.)

Hello kaho674,

thanks again for the input, we have now finally been able to implement the ideas through an internal change of the architect. Unfortunately, we couldn’t start over, as we received a deadline from the city until next week, by which we have to submit the plans. We tried to make the best out of the ideas.

We actually really like your ideas, except for the hallway on the upper floor, which seems relatively narrow to me.
Do you think it should be widened?
It is only 105 cm wide, is there something like a minimum width that should be built so that it doesn’t feel too cramped?

Edit:
Please don’t be surprised about the garage. It was imposed on us as a condition to adapt it architecturally to the plot. If we weren’t so close to the goal, I’d just scrap all this nonsense.
There is a limit to the fun.

This floor plan still has a lot of potential

If you swap the staircase on the ground floor, the toilet wouldn’t be hidden and upstairs you would have a clear separation of the children's bathroom and the main bathroom.

The stairs were originally swapped. The problem was that the connections in the basement would have been at the very back, which wouldn't be optimal in terms of cost. Additionally, the children's rooms are now considerably larger because of this.
