[Sarcasm] Your children can be glad that they even get rooms [/Sarcasm]

No one will be working there anyway. Unfortunately, I don't have a home office. As of now, it will only be used as a guest room. Of course, my desk will be in there, but that will be for leisure.

How else could you solve that, except swapping the bedroom with the guest room? If everything is on one level, it can't be done any other way. Maybe one could think about that when the time comes.

I wouldn’t swap the kitchen, because otherwise guests would have to walk all across the hallway when they want to shower... As it is now, guests basically have an almost secluded area. You would only need to move the door to the north, then it would be perfect.

Oh, I hadn’t noticed this a month ago: the wing with the bedroom suite, with its three identical windows at equal intervals, resembles an office above a row of three wide single garages. By simply breaking up this "machine-punched" rhythm of the windows, one could introduce a "vitality" without additional costs.

The oeuvre of this architect overall strongly reflects a self-perception as an intellectual artist (with experience in commercial construction, a rare combination).

It was actually different. The architect sent something wrong. Originally, it looked like this:

Then I would all the more swap the kitchen and work/guest room. The kitchen is accessed so often from outside whether for grilling or quickly getting something to drink.

Redesign the upper floor. Reduce the huge hallway and allocate the circulation space to the children's rooms. This would also slim down the parents' area slightly in favor of the children's rooms. Then consoles and such will be in the rooms, as well as the seating options. Then you will only notice the coming and going later on.

12m² children's room is actually always the minimum size that I still find acceptable. Considering the 30m² bedroom, the thing is somehow funny. Possibly, if the huge walk-in closet is omitted, there would be more space. However, I see hardly any room for maneuver with this floor plan. What I also find annoying is that the parents' bathroom is only accessible from the bedroom. So if child 1, 2, and 3 want to take a bath in winter, they constantly have to run through the bedroom. Well, and I am allergic to sliding doors, unless they are only for decoration.
