Yes, with the nose at the fence. The garden is on the right side of the plan. The terrace should also be there. But you are building two now, right?

Yes, people see that very differently. I would be extremely reluctant to sunbathe on my terrace right by the fence. I even consider placing the terrace there a planning mistake, which only arose because the drawer house has the angle exactly there. But if it doesn't bother you and especially your wife, then go ahead.

It is indeed annoying, the terrace faces from south to east. I also don't really understand what the architect was thinking, if he even thought at all. Good planning does have its price, after all.

By the way, the house originally looked like this

You would have had plenty of rooftop terraces

Well, that explains a lot, doesn’t it? He must have offered this monster 100 times and sold it 5 times. Man, I somehow feel sorry now. You have the money, the land, and now the house isn’t really working out.

It's not that bad, we are quite satisfied so far.
It doesn't have to be the architectural highlight for us.
The main thing is that it is functional and everyone gets what they want.

There are plenty of houses with useless projections, overhangs...
But I didn't want to live in one of those. I would feel kind of silly if
my money was only spent on appearances.

Oh yes, my wife thought the proposals were great too

Well, but you now have a useless terrace by the fence, right? And with the floor plan there, doing nothing at all looks even stranger, I think.
