Yes, of course. The first draft has almost exclusively bay windows and hardly any possibilities for terrace design in the south and west, as there are only utility rooms. In the second, I would plan a proper window starting at 2.40 in the dining area, also around the corner. The same applies to the living area. You can also make the entrance door out of glass and integrate a strip of windows into the interior living room wall, which would allow the living room to be illuminated from the hallway.

If we now take the 2nd draft 9 x 11, should the living spaces be oriented towards NW or, as shown in the draft, towards OS? Please upload both drafts again. Personally, I would orient them towards NW, but my wife prefers to orient them towards OS because a neighbor on the NW side is planning 2 large windows facing our direction.

Is this your first draft? If so, I would calmly have the BU make a new one... Maybe with a straight staircase or with a side entrance... Just to see something different and get more impressions. How wide is your property?

The problem is that when a straight staircase is planned, a lot of space is lost. Also straight, because it still has to go down to the basement. The house has a floor plan of 10 x 10 but can be shifted in length or width. The plot is just under 20m wide and 35m long. A single garage is planned.

In winter, when the sun doesn't give intense light anyway, it sets approximately in the southwest. With main windows in the NW you end up with a dark place, at least in winter. In summer, the advantage of the light is less significant.

Having the windows in the SE would provide greater light coverage for me.
But I would always add the SW as well.
That's how I see it.

That would mean that the draft with the correct WHZ should be pursued accordingly, as it would be better in terms of orientation.
