Now I googled it: so, the city of Pforzheim is pushing a construction project, for example a row of three townhouses on a street used by interurban traffic – therefore considered "cityscape-defining" (!) – through an advisory board of five bored professors from outside. They then say, for example, that a Kaufland should green its roof. You wouldn’t believe what local politicians can take seriously. But this is not an isolated case, but (not only in BaWü) apparently a trend. I won’t say anything about that.

Well, I have to agree with you, I wouldn’t want to go through this hassle too often either. At some point, you’d rather go with the development plan than build nothing at all. However, I guess the whole undertaking is quite a financial bomb. I would have expected something better from the architect from the start. Not that it’s bad, I don’t think so at all. But just not perfect for you. A shame.

But I have to think of my niece again. She is young, but neither stupid nor naive. She sees the world through the eyes of the next generation and says quite clearly: It’s not so important how the inside is divided. The main thing is that you can be happy together and it looks nice from the outside. Somehow that fits the overall concept of your park. I wonder if maybe we’re just too old and picky?
