Moving companies do that. We don't dare to tackle it either and recently had everything done by a moving team from around here. It was quick and not expensive.

That’s a good tip! I hadn’t thought of that.

Do they also come if you just want to change a lamp? A colleague of my son has been trying in vain for about 6 months to find an electrician to connect a new electric stove here. So much for the topic of only letting professionals handle it.

Also

So with our construction this year, I didn't have a shortage of craftsmen. Every trade I needed and contacted agreed immediately. Even though there has been and still is a lot of construction in this area... Therefore, it surprises me that some can't find an electrician or something like that...

And yes, you should ALWAYS check the electricity beforehand!!!

Yes, with us. We had that just this summer after our move. Well, there were a few more lamps. But I think as long as you don't ask them from 50 km away and pay their travel costs, they do it, even for fewer lamps. Maybe you have a few other small things they can help with. They are definitely much easier to get "quickly" than electricians.

By the way, my husband is always amazed at how lamp installations and such things are handled in Germany. He has never done it and would never touch it because he grew up in Australia, and there it is simply not legal. You are not allowed to touch the electrical system there. Lamps & co are usually part of the equipment of houses and apartments there, like kitchens, and are sold/rented together with the property. Taking kitchens and lamps with you was extremely strange to him at first.
Many of the machines that are a standard part of the home workshop in Germany are professional tools there that no one has at home.

[A QUOTE="motorradsilke, post: 607672, member: 53312"] A colleague of my son has been trying here for about 6 months in vain to find an electrician to connect a new electric stove. So much for the topic of only letting professionals do it. [/QUOTE] Without wanting to advertise, a classifieds portal, the portal with the hammer, or something similar is recommended for such things. Then it's done the next day.
