House construction costs, how were they for you?

Yes, that's true.
If men or women would just dare a bit more to tackle things when building a house, then they would learn for life. Of course, you will also make mistakes, but that’s part of it.
I myself have already gotten a "shock" while installing sockets (because I was distracted before and then forgot to check the fuse). But every bee sting is more painful than that.
Especially with today’s RCDs, which react IMMEDIATELY and hardly "let any current flow into you" ;)

is definitely right. What is referred to here as "stirring up panic" is a) applicable law in this country and b) 30-50 mA can already trigger ventricular fibrillation. Therefore, after any electric shock accident, one should have a medical examination, even if this quickly leads to being monitored for 24 hours or being given a long-term ECG.

And here again, people’s fear is being appealed to. That’s what the RCDs are for, which trip within fractions of a second at MAXIMUM 30mA (so less than the 30mA that cause ventricular fibrillation). Of course, one should also have respect for electricity. But what would we Germans be if we didn’t minimize the risk to the tiniest decimal :)

I can still clearly remember the RCD triggered at 500mA that we removed during the last renovation of my old house. That was only about 3-4 years ago. (Before that, unfortunately none of the many electricians we asked wanted to touch it!)

This is mainly about new construction here. And it has long been mandatory to install FI switches up to a maximum of 30mA. So don't paint the devil on the wall..

One should definitely have respect for electricity. We barely dare to tackle it ourselves, and we usually do a lot on our own. I am a coward in that regard and prefer to check everything twice before starting. I have already seen a few serious electrical accidents (was in emergency services before). They were caused by faulty machines or improper handling, but the result is the same.
