Let's put it this way: 8 meters x is too tight to place living, dining, and kitchen next to each other. And you have to negotiate the office as well as the oversized bedroom.

Played around a bit more. For now only on the ground floor. In terms of the idea, it could combine quite a few things mentioned here, right? I tried to roughly draw it to scale. 1 box equals 1m. The window by the sofa is meant to be not floor-to-ceiling. And fixed glazing. The large one at the dining table would be included as an element for opening. The one in the kitchen as well. The terrace could be a narrow strip along the south side, accessible from the kitchen, running around to the large terrace on the west side facing the garden. It’s just an idea. Not to justify the straight staircase, but to see if more can be done with a straight staircase on a similar footprint.

Draw that with somewhat realistic exterior walls. Then it gets tricky with the stairs and the access to the [HAR].

Regarding the missing wall between the pantry and the stairs, one could come up with something if the upper floor fits ;) However, I rather question this staircase (as it is drawn and what it still has to offer), which is currently the must-have staircase. Otherwise, I would also furnish it realistically. After all, there are quite a few things that you want to have better. This includes the possibility of also accommodating something in the freezer (storage), a real wardrobe cabinet with a depth of 60 cm (beside the coat rack and jackets). For 4 people, storage for shoes, guest bed, possibly also a 60 cm cabinet in the office. But first, the upper floor…
