Not necessarily. I would plan what fits best! The "liking the suffering" can also pass. Besides, you don't build everything you like into your little house. Otherwise, you would have to plan 500 sqm upwards, so many things are nice to look at.
But what am I supposed to say against windmills if you are stuck there. I'm not here to stir up trouble, but to give constructive criticism. But as I said before: theory is one thing, in practice you make compromises.

That is quite subjective. Modern does not mean wanting mainstream things or the more you have, the more modern it is. Modern in the form of expression here means contemporary. The overall picture must fit. For me personally, a modern house definitely includes sight lines that should be reflected in a design. This house has one – the path down from the staircase with a view through a window.

Here is my proposal slightly optimized. The OG can also still be adjusted according to your specifications. I didn’t have those back then.

If the stairs are reversed, you can still use a pantry underneath. Or will there be a staircase to the basement there?

Similar to my first attempt yesterday, which I actually didn't want to show because even for a "sketch" some things are still missing or not quite right. It is also somewhat longer than desired.

However, that also includes a straight staircase.
