.. Katja ... yes, I like it that way, and personally I would leave out the pantry and thereby also create an exit toward the north at ground level. That would then be the midsummer barbecue terrace corner. Maybe you can even save about half a meter in the house depth.

Above all, I also like the upper floor.

I would do that too.
However, the house is quite a huge Marie for 2 people, putting the garage into the basement probably makes sense with the slope.

Edit: up in the bedroom you constantly bump your head - I know such corners in front of the window.

When the child moves out, you could tear down the wall and then have a really big fitness room.
Hmm, only bicycles are a problem...
For 2 it's really awesome then. So the garage in the house after all? I don't like that at all. I know, men are into that. But then it gets tight with child and fitness in the basement.

I like the new drafts.

What bothers me here is that I wouldn't have a terrace facing south .. that is the main reason for the plot in a south-facing slope location .. that you could build a terrace oriented southwest. That's also why the idea with the garage in the south. For all I care, it can also be in the northeast ... but then the possibility to build the terrace at ground floor level facing southwest is missing. Or is there still an idea?

Would it possibly still be conceivable to remove the offset from the south wall??

You have west and northwest terrace options as well as a south balcony. And believe me, in summer you don't want to sit on a south terrace without sun protection. A west terrace is enough for that. And in the south, you can then make a sweating terrace in front of the fitness room.

Why did the extra room on the ground floor have to be there again?

And, a garage in the north has the advantage that there is a spot where you can enter the house, whether you arrived on foot or by car. That is more convenient for organizing coats/shoes etc.

That is exactly something that would bother me a lot. This constant running around the house - entrance here - garage there. "I'll just quickly get something from the car" becomes a world trip every time you want to step out briefly. That happens to us very often - but presumably you get used to it. On the other hand, it’s true - if you want the south terrace and have to plant there anyway, of course I can build the garage there cost-effectively. So maybe we should talk again about the wine trellis...
