I have now followed your advice again and consulted a new architect. In the initial meeting, he essentially only received from me the development plan, the information about the kitchen and the garage, and a tabular list of which rooms should be on which floor. No existing floor plans, visualizations, sections, or information about the size or arrangement of the rooms.

Here are the results:

Then, fire away again!

Has the child somehow not been welcome, a problem child? Drug addiction? Terminally ill? Married in and only tolerated? The child's room somehow just exists. It doesn't even have 12 square meters yet...

1. I would make the garage 6m long inside. If I haven’t mismeasured, it is currently drawn as 5.5m. 2. The kitchen lacks direct access to the dining table and the terrace. 3. The children’s room is small. Why not add the piece of hallway next to the children’s room to the children’s room? 4. Do you really need the balcony next to the office?

Sorry, but can anyone here see a significant improvement regarding the criticism of the original draft? Or anything else that would justify the investment in a new architect? I just can't imagine that 2 architects independently come up with the idea to design a galactic office for you and only grant the child a cramped room in comparison. Apparently, you want it that way, so build it.

1. You are right. 5.50 m is too short. The question is also whether the garage extension even makes sense or is necessary.
2. True! There still needs to be a door to the dining room.
3. The kids’ room is indeed small relative to the overall house. Taking part of the gallery would be an option.
4. Well, you could certainly manage without the balcony. But it would simply be nice to have. The question is whether it really needs to be roofed (at the expense of living space in the attic) or if a conventional balcony would do.

Attached are more sections, visualizations, and views

But that's how it is. The rooms were arranged freely by the architect.
