That sounds very good. If you want, you could also use any other kind of cladding from the outside instead of wood, e.g. plaster or similar. I think with the combination stove you made a good decision. At least I would always sit inside and think about what it would be like if....... but that could just be my own crazy idea. A nice, private sauna is something great!!! I’m already looking forward to my own implementation soon.

How is the height handled with a glass door without a threshold? I am now ready to contact the glazier for a quote.

I have now found such custom-sized glass fronts on Saunainter that can also be ordered in special sizes. However, the specifications are supposed to refer to the opening dimensions, and a 50mm air gap is standardly planned at the bottom. That seems a bit much to me. I thought 10mm would be enough.

Separate provisions are made anyway for supply/exhaust air because of the stove.

Such a glass door does not close completely, that is correct. We have no extra supply/exhaust air, if I see that correctly. So the gap is probably sufficient – however, ours is 15mm (I just measured again). And we have the handle hole in the door, of course air also passes through there.

I would look for a local glazier – they do that as well and might even come by for the measurements.

So you don't need anything for air supply. 50mm would be too much for me as well. I would take just enough to fit the door and prevent it from scraping at the bottom, even if it should give a little. There is no hot air at the bottom edge of the door anyway, so very little could escape from there.

Thank you.

I have now contacted 2 online shops, as well as a local glazier after a phone call. In addition, I will contact another glazier through an acquaintance, from whom I hope to get the best price... ;)
After considering how to dress the glass, my idea now is to first equip the reveal with a suitable spruce board that is flush on both sides with the profile timbers. The board would be 15mm thick, like the profile timbers, so I could extend the window glass on the right up to the vertical sauna wall.

I am now wondering how to:

1. mount the wood of the reveal boards invisibly?
2. Whether the boards might warp over time?

The alternative would be to mount the glass directly to the KVH, but then the KVH and the profile cladding would always be visible, which I don't find particularly attractive. Then you'd have to work with corner strips, which again raises the question of how to mount them invisibly :D

How do you mount the other profile boards for the cladding? (with brackets in the groove?) If you don't want to see screws at the top by the glass on the cladding, you could also glue the board, but with PU glue.
