we also have a built-in sauna, during measurement the sauna builder said 5cm air to the outer wall, 1-3cm is enough to the inner wall. The sauna stove has 5-10cm to the fixed glazing VSG 8mm

Yes, I do understand that every centimeter counts... nevertheless, I would also calculate about 5cm. Insulation, there are also other natural options. Hemp, etc. Stone wool or even mineral wool would not be acceptable to me.

Regarding the profile woods, I wouldn't be too strict about it... so directly on KVH.

Also, I would say OSB on top is not necessary now.

After the sauna area with cedarwood interior, we now have exactly this inside, an insane scent, google it (Canadian red cedar and sauna) Side effect is the natural contrast to the light benches. The profile boards need to be grooved deeper in sauna construction.

We will drive to a local timber dealer this afternoon.
I somehow have a problem ordering the profile wood online because my wife and I don’t really know what we want. This way we can look at it on site and then decide.
On the phone, the nice gentleman said they have everything from [FIchte] to [Espe], [Erle], and [Zeder]. They could also offer [Zirbe]. That would be my wife’s dream; we just have to clear that budget-wise.
I would like it too, it’s not like that... :D
