The first wall is finished. I am now quite sure that we will probably need decorative moldings... :D I also managed to do the top board on the other two walls. The board above the door was the most difficult part, but I am satisfied with it. I can still work for 3 more days, then the vacation is over. I probably won't quite manage to finish the cabin by then, but it's not urgent.

Great, I'm glad to see the progress! I don't find such strips bad at all, they can also be lighter rectangular/square ones and maybe you want to stuff something in depending on the joint. You don't have to, but since we've already talked about holes in the aluminum foil..... It's gonna be good.

everything neat and nothing botched,
measure, manufacture and assemble every piece, custom size indeed.
I grew up in a time when there were no staples yet and nails were driven into the groove, my children still don't understand how you can nail with the hammer's claw

It is important that it gets properly hot in the hut! :D

They probably know more about iPhone, Insta, and "Facebook" ... ;)

Baseboards come safe... ;)

But it’s a great feeling when the planning works out like that.

At the access wall, I still had to install KVH because otherwise I could only fix the profile boards twice and that wouldn’t hold since some boards were pretty warped...
In some cases the groove broke out, so Spax screws had to be used.
However, all the warped boards are in the area of the benches, so the screws shouldn’t be visible later.

therefore nail all the slats, otherwise it can cause cracks when changing from warm/cold, humid/dry. That is also why sauna boards are more deeply sprung/grooved.
