Man man man, now I have to explain to all you "no-basement builders" why we want to face east in the bedroom
If you are vampires who zombie-walk to the bathroom after the alarm goes off, quickly get ready, gulp down a coffee, and rush off to work, ok, then the bedroom orientation doesn’t matter. But if you want to enjoy the sun or the morning sky a bit in the morning, you should face east.
Of course, you can’t know the other two reasons:
The view to the east overlooking the very well-maintained Japanese-style neighbor’s garden is very beautiful.
My wife and I have found that when we sleep with our heads facing west, we sleep best (even despite disturbing factors like a door at the head end). Interestingly, when I dealt with Feng Shui, it turned out that we are both “westerners” and our ideal orientation is east-west...
Do you need more reasons or is the east topic settled now
Cool. After these arguments, the east window is off the table. Just take a look at the sun’s path, when and where the sun rises. And if you orient the bedroom according to Feng Shui, then there are two mistakes in the bedroom right away: bed between door and window as well as door at the head side. You also don’t see the garden from the bed. Sipping coffee looking out the bedroom window: you’re more likely to stay in the kitchen. Great is to align work/get-up time with the morning sun: in winter at half past eight to the SE, in summer at 4:31 am to the NE... then you cuddle in the tub
You don’t have to account for this. But thinking about it a bit helps enormously to untangle your own mental knot
