Oh, I took it literally.

I don’t iron in a quiet little room without a view of the TV or the child. And even for ironing, the room is oversized. Would swap TV and kitchen. The kitchen by the terrace greatly shortens the distances. I would give the dressing room straight walls. Ok, the budget is not so generous anymore. Air space gone, laundry in the basement. Balcony gone and, if necessary, children's bathroom.

On the topic of the basement:
I think I can guess in which direction your thoughts regarding the basement are going...
1. Building without a basement is 0.000000% an option! Whether it’s a hillside or not. For that, you would rightly be excommunicated here in Bavaria
2. Since the two sons are still very young (4 and 0), a spatial separation (across floors) between parents and children is also out of the question.

regarding your first point:
- 80% of my relatives say: only with a basement.....but I stick to building without a basement, show a little more self-confidence?
- in my opinion, it is also a matter of trend, but for the future I see a tendency more towards "slab on grade."

regarding the second point:
- I can understand that

Would you like to set how you imagine the cost breakdown?
I hope the land is not also included in the 750,000?
But even without the land, it could be tight given the size of the house, depending on technical "gimmicks" and proximity to Munich.

I find some approaches quite nice! For example, I like the idea of the large entrance area. But try drawing in furniture, it will be somewhat unfavorable / a lot of wasted space, since due to the position of the hallway, there are hardly any more placement options in the lower part of the plan.

In my opinion, the open space will not have any effect at all. You will just walk past it, yes. But why should someone stand at the railing on the upper floor and look down? Or when coming in from upstairs - primarily you want to get into the house, take off shoes and jacket, and go into the right living rooms. For visual effect, in my opinion, it should be, for example, above the dining table.

Why should there be another couch in the dining area? Is it only there because there happened to be some space left?

I would also expect the entrance situation into the dining area to be bigger and airier - double doors or glass side panels, for example - to fit the house.
What do you want to put in the recess by the aquarium in the hallway? Or leave it free for a bit more spaciousness?

The kitchen at the terrace with exit really has advantages! I can only recommend it to everyone!

The closet niches on the upper floor are too narrow. Presumably there will still be plaster on it? But even without, a 60 cm cabinet would stick out - even without sliding doors.

These are just a few points now, the location on the property would certainly also be interesting. All in all, despite the large exterior dimensions, I do not find the use of space inside ideal.

That has absolutely nothing to do with lack of self-confidence or external pressure (to be honest, I haven't even talked to anyone about it yet, because the question doesn't even arise for me).
Simply not an option for us. Period. We can all save a lot of time if we don't pursue these heretical thoughts any further.

It may be the current trend and the development is heading that way. Then I show self-confidence and deliberately go against the trend.
