Hello everyone.
Has anyone of you installed the system AV-2DI-01 from GOLIATH? The numerous functions and the relatively low price compared to Gira make me curious. Unfortunately, I cannot find any meaningful tests or user reviews online.
What do you think of the system?

This is what concerns me at the moment as well. Would it not be possible like this: At home: Doorbird + indoor doorbell + button for speaking only On the go: Doorbird sends video to the phone via app + speak only

In other words, simply do not wire the Doorbird to the door opener. This way you can speak from home and on the go, but the vulnerability of "button press opens front door" does not exist.

When I see what a Siedle intercom set from yesterday costs, I would like a more contemporary version, but without compromising security.

Best regards!

Hi,

Well, 950 bucks for an intercom WITHOUT keyless entry I don't really find cheap...

Apparently, they don't have fingerprint either?!?

Best regards,

Andreas

Hi Andreas. The system is also available with smaller screens. Then the price is about €550. I actually want to set up the fingerprint independently of the intercom system. I can't find anything comparable from other manufacturers at that price. -Two screens -Stores pictures of people after ringing -Can be controlled via app Or do you have a good suggestion on which device to take. Best regards André

Hi Andre,

after some searching, I have given up on any "IP doorbells." Simply due to the hardly predictable security issues.
The moment the door system is connected to the network, it can be attacked from anywhere in the world.
A conventional 2-wire wiring, if done correctly, can only be tampered with at the fuse box. But for that, you already have to be inside the house.

Therefore, we are now using a plain normal Gira intercom system with a keyless module.

A camera could still be retrofitted in parallel, but it should have nothing to do with opening the door.

Best regards,

Andreas

That’s why I have separate networks with a firewall in between. And before someone hacks your network from outside, they would probably prefer to smash a window.

But I agree with you, for an average user who can’t install it properly, the security issue is already hard to recognize.
