We will definitely choose a video doorbell with POE

Does the Goliath have its own fingerprint scanner built in or does that also come from ekey?

Can the Goliath also be accessed remotely from anywhere without a subscription? Currently, we do not have a child yet, so an indoor station must definitely be retrofittable.

However, we have a front door with a glass element where the child could also see who is at the door.

What alternative POE video doorbells are there without ekey that meet my requirements (in that case we would have to install the ekey separately below or next to the doorbell)?

I find it very difficult and it is also extremely unclear to find video doorbells

Goliath/Dahua has its own fingerprint module. Remote access is possible with the app as far as I know, but I haven't set it up myself. I'm also not sure yet if I really need it or even want it. After all, it also means opening a port to the outside again.

There are many videos online about Doorbird and Goliath. The two are quite universal and in my opinion exactly reflect what you want. 2N can do it too, but I haven't looked into the licenses there. If you leave the fingerprint out, then presumably much cheaper solutions like Akuvox, Netatmo, Legrand, etc. will also work. I can't say whether these are all IP-based solutions and whether they can do everything you want. They were out of the question for me. Here in the forum, you will also find many threads on this topic if you use the search. You will surely find one or the other further solution.

If you want to retrofit ekey yourself, then have enough cables pulled.

Yes, with 2N I also found the licensing very unclear.

I would say Doorbird is the most well-known where you can find the most information about it.

I wanted to first clarify which fingerprint we should use. Should we best rely on ekey or can we also use another one?

Security, reliability, and speed are important to me.

We have decided on the Winkhaus blueMatic automatic lock with A-OPENER.

I have one more question: can the locking cylinder on an automatic lock with A-opener be changed just as easily as on a regular front door?

Can no one help me with this?
Whether the locking cylinder in the Winkhaus BlueMatic can be replaced just as easily as in a normal front door

So with the Bluemotion, the key simply turns as long as one is in the cylinder. When the construction cylinder was replaced, it didn’t look to me as if it had been a special door cylinder. That means: In my opinion, the replacement is not a problem.
