So if 11ant doesn't constantly diss the architects, then I don't know either :) anyhow. I’ll think about it again and get back to you. There might be new plans today. The hallway topic might look different then.

Personally, I don't follow any philosophy, the architect probably does, and my wife thinks it's nice. I am looking forward to the next draft, but I find your suggestion interesting as such and think that I will ask for a variant in the next conversation where it would work.

Anyhow, wouldn't the area in front of the stairs and towards the guest area be totally dark in your plan? In the current draft, light can come from the stairwell, but like that?

Boy. Once again: it was scribbled in a quarter of an hour with a simple program so that you can see that a staircase enables something different when you take it out of a corner. I'm not going into time-consuming planning where everything is optimal. Or do you think everything can be "quickly" optimized? Then an architect would indeed be somewhat overpaid. You questioners are also a pain: if you come with a program, everything has to be perfect; with a hand sketch, you won't be taken seriously :p

I reached the admin quite quickly regarding one matter via the general forum email. It was a different topic, but still a very quick and friendly response.

I also tried that. Haven't heard anything so far

no problem. Probably the entrance would have to be moved

No :( It is deliberately located exactly opposite the living room door and exactly in line with the rear south window because, for me, that style and size dictates where windows and doors are placed. The closed door leaf already has suggested side glass frames... You can also plan the wardrobe differently, you can make the entrance door out of glass, you can give a closed door leaf transom windows, you can make the living room/kitchen door out of glass, you can make the staircase wall only half-high, you can make the staircase wall only partially vertical, you can install windows. You shouldn't go into details here; much of it hasn't been worked out yet.
