I don't think the door to the garage is bad and it's quite practical. If it fits, you can use it. No bending, it's not worth it. You can't smell anything unless you're happily working on a youngtimer and like to keep the engine running. There will be a fire protection door in between, which also withstands the [Blowerdoortest]. The standard ones are the nice gray cellar doors.

I don't like the [UG]. Although I think it's good to have the entrance directly opposite the stairs. That way, private stays private. The hallway is not acceptable at all. Only in my mind can I move things around as much as I want, it doesn't really get better.

I don't care. I think a flat roof belongs on the cube.

If it’s not flat, then it’s no longer a cube – and if it doesn’t have three corners, then it’s not my hat.

My conclusion: Pool money together and do it - if possible. The design is coherent for people who need little private space and a lot of space for the community. Yes, even with the long hallway and the door to the garage and the large terrace. I believe I can see that the creation process was full of good communication and that the architect does not want to realize themselves, but builds the right house for the client family’s life. If money is missing or causes sleepless nights: Go back to the architect and consider with them what can be done. Seems to be a good one.

Unfortunately, the garage must be located in the east due to the gentler slope. And we would prefer the terrace in the west because of the evening sun. Regarding the structural engineering, I can’t say much except what the architect said. But I will definitely bring it up at the next appointment. Concerning the outdoor areas, we haven’t given it much thought yet. But I will also address that at the next appointment.

Regarding the roof: We can also imagine a shed roof with a 5–7-degree pitch that rises with the slope. That would also be advantageous for possible photovoltaics. Similar to, for example, the Luxhaus - Pultdach Klassik 257. If that saves money...
