What do you mean? The air just flows upwards. A chimney is more of an eye-catcher than a heating device anyway. It gets nicely cozy up top right away. I don't find that problematic. Or is there a catch? I find the chimney on the edge much worse.

A hundred times better like this than being disturbed in the morning. But here you could also simply swap the walk-in closet and the bedroom. Access to the bedroom through the walk-in closet... I basically have no problem with that. It's not a thoroughfare.

I want to see how you fit rollers, Bobby cars, strollers, prams, sleds, etc. into 10 kitchen base cabinets...

And I'm also basically not a fan of storing, for example, beverage crates in kitchen cabinets. For that, I'd rather have a dark corner or pantry. A kitchen cabinet is too expensive for that in terms of purchase cost. But that brings us back to the fundamental discussion "pantry yes or no." I've long since given up trying to convince anyone. If someone prefers 5sqm more kitchen and then puts expensive kitchen furniture in which only half of what fits in a 5sqm pantry with cheap shelves fits, they should do it that way. Sometimes the floor plan really doesn't allow any other option, but as I said: proponents and opponents will never find a consensus. Everyone has to decide for themselves.

I agree with Climbee, although I am usually not a fan of a pantry. However, this is because many people don’t have space for it, but then the whole house design suffers for the sake of a pantry. There would be space here, just like for a separate cloakroom, but I also see potential under the stairs. You have to keep in mind that children are not here yet, so you don’t even think about Bobby cars and the like [emoji6] Air fuels fire, dear @kaho, and not only since Feng Shui [emoji2] But for those who don’t care about Feng Shui: these are two decorative house elements that steal the show from each other because they share exactly the same space.

Airspace and oven:

Here one could also consider placing the stove pipe outside (this could even work well as a design element).

Overall, I find the airspace unnecessary in this case. It looks more like an attempt than skill. It is not a gallery, it is simply a narrow shaft going upwards without any purpose. I would do without it and add the space to the children's rooms. Then an interior chimney would not be a problem either. Just because it looks nice and is possible with a different room layout, here it is just a planning mistake. Or let's put it this way: the architect carved this out of thin air because the client insisted. Probably he (if he is a somewhat decent planner) quietly groaned to himself while drawing.

Oh no, things like that go in the garage and not in the house at all, except maybe the upper part of the stroller. Yes, I also prefer having a pantry. But it was eliminated here. It might still be possible to close off the space under the stairs. But that would, of course, reduce the spacious feel of the hallway.

The airspace is often created above the dining table. Why not here as well? Because of the incomprehensible idea of arranging the children's rooms symmetrically in the house. As if you have the same children. Get out of the symmetry and create an independent airspace (if it even has to exist). The warmth on the ground floor will thank you.
