Yes, as clear room height, but not as story height:

That’s how my program does it as standard ... 258 cm clear room height results in 295 cm story height ... 37 cm difference. The 30 cm that Katja assumed must be assumed at least. This height difference then makes almost 2 steps.

we now have the draft. The architect plans 15 steps, or 14 steps in the roof, with risers of 18.5 | 18.8 | 19.2 and widths of 26.1 cm. The heights to be overcome are 277.5 | 281.5 | 268.5 (all floors are now planned with a clear shell construction height of 263.5) The dimensions are probably okay but at the limit of the safety formula and also quite steep with over 35 degrees. In my opinion, his plan has the possibility to extend the stairs by one step each and then also to widen the treads. I am currently finalizing the draft and will definitely post it today. For us, it looks very coherent. One room is somewhat small (but surely a wall can still be moved a bit) and the entrance area is all very tight. And of course the stairs. I lack the comparison whether this fits or if we will always have the feeling that it is uncomfortable. And regarding all the discussions about tower or not: visually from the outside one may have mixed opinions but, one will have to climb stairs. They really should be easy to use. EDIT: what programs do you work with? I use Sweet Home 3D. I find it not bad for furnishing and presentation. The handling is also quite okay. No stair-building option and an insufficient dimensioning function is now almost unbearable for me. But I even tried a paid version as a demo and that was no better regarding stairs. Dimensioning was better, but the operation not acceptable.

Those are strange dimensions. I would personally be interested in the exact floor construction including [Fußböden]. Is underfloor heating planned?

yes underfloor heating in basement, ground floor and 1st floor - not in the attic. planned are (floor slab/floor structure/height | clear shell construction height) basement: 25/20 (because of insulation)/243.5 | 263.5 ground floor: 18/16/247.5 | 263.5 upper floor: 18/16/247.5 | 263.5 attic: 18/3 (no underfloor heating)/ up to 486.5

I have now managed to recreate the architect's draft with me and also to present our current considerations as a comparison. The most important changes each time: all stairs are 1 step + about 2.5cm tread length longer, and the staircase from the basement to the ground floor is twisted again at the top. No idea if that is technically possible. The head clearances should not change as a result?! We have moved and squeezed the bathroom a bit. Especially considered the suggestion that it comes over the other bathroom. We are currently planning the entrance area a bit more open. Possibly, the entrance will also be on the north side (bottom of the plan). All floor plan change proposals are the maximum we consider possible. Compromises are of course also possible to find a middle ground. Our proposal always comes first, then the architect's. The basement comes last.

I find the steps quite high - they are not comfortable to walk on.
