The guest is just as loud as the child? I didn't mean a room change upstairs, but downstairs not quite so open :)

Thanks for the info.

We do not want to do without an airlock because we see it as very practical. For example, you can take out the trash, carry groceries into the house, and do various other things without having to go outside. Originally, office and airlock were planned separately but due to limited space, we combined the two rooms. How do you think the situation can be improved?

The room is to be seen as an intermediate buffer and storage room, so you don’t have to go to the basement for every little thing. Among other things, vacuum cleaners, mops, various kitchen and cleaning utensils, consumables, and smaller quantities of food will be stored here. A pantry for larger quantities will be in the basement.

We will adjust the door widths.

I have prepared a cross section in which you can better see the situation with the 2m line. I will upload it shortly.

We have set the mentioned budget with the knowledge that we will do many tasks ourselves. We still have a buffer of €100,000 for unforeseen expenses.

Hello, I have uploaded a section view and exterior views again.

I will upload exterior views shortly. Just moving the living room window would probably look odd. Currently, everything in the south is symmetrical except for the large corner window.

Oh, sorry, misunderstood! Our current living situation is also designed very openly and the bedrooms are directly adjacent to the open living area, so we don’t see a problem here for ourselves / child / guests.

Hello, I have uploaded a section view and views from the outside again. This makes the overall situation clearer once more.

I like the original idea. The budget has already been mentioned – you need to check that. Otherwise, the following points:

[*]the steep roof with a low knee wall is unfavorable and is neither required by the development plan nor by space requirements. Better would be a (very) high knee wall with a 22-25° roof pitch, possibly executed as an exposed roof truss inside. This way you won’t have problems with sloping ceilings and can plan windows on the eave sides.
[*]the airlock is not a good idea for the reasons mentioned by (even if you don’t want to hear it). If you don’t want to abandon the idea, leave out the garage door anyway, but design the outer wall so that you can easily retrofit a side entrance door later. If you still miss it in three years, you can retrofit the door (which you probably won’t do :) ).
[*]I would remove the small storage room next to the kitchen on the ground floor and instead extend the tall cabinets to the western outer wall. This results in almost the same storage space but is much more accessible. You can also use deeper cabinets there (in my opinion, kitchen manufacturers offer such systems).
[*]logically, the ground floor toilet should also extend to the outer wall, and possibly plan a shower.
[*]this will allow you to shift the wall from the hall to the ground floor toilet slightly to the right side of the plan and use a larger front door with glass side elements to get more light into the hall.
[*]on the upper floor, I would definitely shift the wall between the corridor and dressing/sleeping area downward on the plan to adapt it to the stairwell.
[*]in doing so, you could also shift the wall between the children’s room and bathroom downward on the plan to ‘streamline’ the bathroom and give the child more space.
[*]in this context, I would also move the door between sleeping/dressing upward on the plan and remove the separate access dressing/bathroom (quickly crossing the corridor once is really no problem).
[*]please tidy up the doors from the corridor to guest/child room (currently too convoluted).

Another big point are the windows... but you can only discuss that once the design is final.
