Can you quickly clarify the space requirements regarding offices again? You have one downstairs and one upstairs? Can one of them be omitted? If yes, rather downstairs or upstairs?

Sure, the space requirement is also a bit confusing, sorry.

The downstairs office is my real office, where I will also work professionally three days a week. It will have a large desk, a large filing cabinet (both already included to scale in the floor plans), and a small shelf on which the printer will be placed. The office will also be used for a bit of private paperwork, that’s it.

The room upstairs is not an office, but rather a workspace. My partner has a part-time job that involves "working with tools," including soldering. On the table there will also be a PC for “entertainment” while working, and the PC will be used to manage private photos and videos. Additionally, this room is also storage space, so the large cabinet is planned there. Furthermore, it will serve as a guest room for the parents a few times a year. We plan for a bed that can be pulled out. It normally has a width of 90cm and can be extended to 180cm if needed. This room is overall something like a basement replacement.

I think the idea of frosted glass doors in the bathroom and the “[Abstell-/Werkelraum]” is good, I must say! Of course, it’s a makeshift solution compared to a proper window, but it would help.

I would find it quite okay to leave the small area "behind" the stairs open and place a window there. Possibly also a long vertical window strip from the ground floor to the upper floor. That brings even more light than glass doors and avoids their disadvantages. Additionally, I would place the son's large room southeast, so you waste less hallway. Attached is an idea for that. Here you could work with the wardrobe as a room divider so that the distance between sofa and TV is okay!

That is the point where you have to decide: reverse gear or Shiny86 method.

The staircase is planned with a length of 4.10 m. The number of steps is certainly not correct, but that’s not what it’s about here.

Thanks for the draft, that looks pretty good! So you don’t think the light source would then be too far away?

I would actually like to do without the Shiny method! But do I understand correctly that you don’t like all these considerations and would return to the large hallway?
