You extend the roof of the carport over part of the house. That makes the roof bigger, but you don't have to build another roof.

Such things are especially super expensive.

That's why it immediately got dropped from the planning again

But the carport will not be done by the construction company, rather privately by us in self-performance. If you do these "fiddly bits" through the construction company, in my guess the bill will end up just as high – for less living space. That's why I don't see the advantage. Besides, as I said, I don't see a huge saving potential on the upper floor, maybe 10 sqm. Also, that wouldn't automatically get rid of the "stair hatch" you hate...

Oh really? So completely on your own?

Yes, no one could have known that you can build roofs yourselves. Otherwise, of course, it varies individually what a general contractor charges.

Nope, that has nothing to do with it.

Yes, completely by myself. Of course, there will be no tiled roof on it; it will simply be a classic carport...

Hello dear ones,

attached are the current architectural plans. What you see in the pictures is the architect's first proposal regarding the design of the property. We don’t really like it in detail yet.

We know that the view from the northeast is messed up, don’t worry... but we really can’t think of any acceptable options to change that.

We are currently considering making two fixed corner glazing sections where the dining table is, each 2m wide and 2m high. Maybe you have some opinions on that?
