The teenager consistently always closes all the shutters, even when they are opened for him... Therefore (said maliciously) I don't see why I should give him the nice orientation ops: Besides, we will be living in the house for a longer time...

For the stairs, I have now adopted the standard from the program. There, they are 90 wide and 3m long. But I don't know if that will work with the ceiling height of 2.50m.

In the end, there should be no slope around the house at all. We are planning to catch it in such a way that we have a mostly flat property.

That's practical, I can directly quote from another thread:

Stairs do not fit. 90 cm is quite narrow and you need at least 4 m or rather 4.20 m in length.

With a teenager, take a look at the concept from . He gave his boys small apartments. I think the idea is not bad.

I refer to my post just before that. The kid will be 14 at the time of the move if everything goes smoothly. Teenagers in general are not exactly known as morning sun worshippers or happy about the beautiful midday sun at 12. I am simply planning further into the future... You are welcome to consider that antisocial towards the child, but that's how I see it...

Where can I find the floor plan of Hampshire? The thing about the stairs is definitely good to know. If they were wider and longer anyway, the hallways wouldn’t necessarily be too big, right?

I understand that point excellently. Apart from that, however, the bedroom in the north would have the advantage of staying cooler in summer and the "dead space" in the hallway next to the stairs could be used more effectively. Anyway, the design is spacious and livable, although not particularly inspired, which I always find a pity when the budget is not too tight. Oh yes: the ceiling height should match the large rooms. No idea where our floor plan is here - no longer on the computer I'm currently using, but in some backup.

The thing with the dead space is a good point. But if the staircase still has to be quite a bit longer anyway, you almost run into space problems again. What ceiling height do you find comfortable?
