Oh my God he called my draft "praiseworthily clear" :eek _O Just kidding!

I looked at split-level houses and unfortunately found that they are not for us. I find them beautiful, but I don't want to be constantly walking stairs in my everyday life.

Since I am unfortunately an absolute layperson, I do not understand what is meant by "building on the level of the terrain adjustment with the plot" we have now given the floor plan to the architect. I requested that we also get a draft that shows the slope changes. I will probably wait for that and then present it to you

The "ancient Greeks" certainly have more to offer than just Pyrrhus; Sisyphus also serves well as a cautionary example. "Building with the property" means not resenting a marriage of convenience with the hunchbacked bride, instead of exhausting oneself and one's budget by shifting masses of earth. Here, that might have meant planning a split-level house. You don’t have that and don’t like it. So I suggest Plan B of minimal invasive terrain modeling: embedding the level house so that the surrounding property gently slopes against it, but not much more. For example, I would consider positively to what extent two or three steps between the living room and the terrace (and/or burying the house, possibly with "three-quarter" instead of floor-to-ceiling windows) would smoothly solve the situation. As an alternative to this, investing an amount of money equivalent to the kitchen, bathroom, and roof only into reshaping the earth seems to me worth considering. But concretely, such considerations would require an illustration of the terrain profile on the house sides. So far, even the simplest usual facade views are still missing here.

Yes, I'm sorry about the facade views, but we currently only have them from the "base model" of the developer and also without site planning. However, since we have massively changed it, including in size, it makes no sense to provide them. The architect only received the "go ahead" from us to start planning yesterday. I’ll just wait and see what she recommends. Maybe we can save money again through our own work, we will see.

Developer? – I often say that "prefabricated house" manufacturers are basically also general contractors. But developer? – that would mean you bought the house from them including the land (and fitting it into the terrain would therefore not be your concern). I don't know it that way – "land service" yes, but so that the house buyer acquires the land (directly from the previous owner) separately.

Okay I obviously used the wrong term I meant the basic model of Schwabenhaus. We are not getting our plot from them!
