I am always happy to receive praise from you Just today or yesterday I read another answer from you in a different topic, saying that a straight staircase in houses under 12m nevereverever (almost never...) works. Therefore, I interpret this as a kind of pat on the back that you did not criticize it in my case

On the topic of a separate toilet: Well, I am still doing a bit of research, but at the moment I don’t see it being implemented... Sliding doors are not airtight and having another normal door in the bathroom is too much for me. There are already 2 anyway, so there does not need to be a third. Besides, all of that reduces the space, and I don’t want that either.

Attention, new attempt
Thoughts on this:
- The washing machine will still be covered towards the upper door, either with a sliding curtain or wooden paneling, something along those lines
- The door to the WC would usually remain open and only be closed for "special needs." An additional ventilation would therefore, in my opinion, not be necessary.

What are your opinions on this?

Can I just quickly interrupt to ask: How wide and long is your staircase and how thick are the walls? I can't make the measurements work. ops:

For a shower-only bathroom without a tub, that is already very large. Have you ever considered actually removing that? So a separate toilet?

The interior walls are all planned with 12.5 cm so far. However, one wall will definitely be wider as it is load-bearing. In the construction service description, interior walls are generally specified as 12.5 cm. The staircase is currently planned with 4.10 x 1.00 m. Do you think that is planned too small? I don’t yet know the actual opening the staircase really needs... It is now planned with its entire floor area on the upper floor as an opening, it surely won’t be that much.

Yes, we have already thought about that... But I find it 1. not so clever and 2. it would then need a ventilation option inside. Consequently, you would potentially block window space for the bathroom...

P.S.: I corrected the staircase on haydee’s advice back then, but I think I never uploaded the corrected plan... So #1 still has a staircase planned too small, sorry
