In general, many things are a financial matter, and I almost get the impression that I have to be ashamed in this forum to say that an extra 10,000 euros for sliding doors and windows simply isn’t feasible for us.
There are certainly also builders here like with the basic attitude "no money for frills" or who is aware that not everyone has an extra checkbook just for sliding doors. Don’t let the big shots who are also around here fool you into thinking that a frameless glass shower in the guest bathroom has to be standard.
My problem right now is that many comments come across to me like "Oh my God, how can someone be so stupid?!"
I would rather put it this way: I almost feel admiration for the efforts of your planner to completely ruin the facades. Because deviating from simple recipes for success is almost an art – take a look at my suggestions in this regard: you will easily notice that I only cooked with water, no witchcraft. You are not stupid.
In any case, it’s like this with us: there is a window catalog from which we can choose, but we are also limited by it. Windows in "160.5 cm" sound great, but simply do not exist from the manufacturer.
Your house manufacturer says over the phone that the architect’s manual was probably misunderstood, the catalog only includes a list of standard sizes without extra charge (and often a few centimeters of adjustment are enough to turn a custom request back into a standard format); so you should discuss this again with the planner.
